Research Assistant, European Team

Parveen joined Gecko in 2010 and provides research and administration across a number of Gecko Programmes services and projects. Parveen holds a BA (Hons) in Social Policy and Sociology from the University of Wolverhampton. Prior to working for Gecko, Parveen worked on social and educational research and mentoring projects for a number FE and HE institutions.
Recent work for Gecko includes conducting research on Cultural Event Management, an important Big Lottery Funded project looking at women’s career management (in particular qualitative and quantitative research examining patterns of behaviour on women returning to work) and worked in Spain, including working for Integra Consultoria in La Coruña, and playing an important role on the Vocational Training for European Creatives project as part of the EU Leonardo da Vinci programme,
Currently Parveen is working for the European Team on conducting research for current and future projects and managing outward mobilities for Leonardo da Vinci placements under the EU Lifelong Learning Programme.
In her spare time, Parveen likes to watch dramatic films, has a broad taste in music including a love for R’n’B and bhangra, and enjoys reading fiction.
