Associate
David is an Associate with Gecko programmes specialising in comprehensive strategy, bid-writing & project delivery expertise, with a particular focus on innovation, digital industries and Europe.
He has spent the last year working for the regional government, creative support agencies, local authorities and universities. His work has included developing strategy & policy, writing on innovation & business transformation and delivering European projects. He has also written bids for the UK Regional Growth Fund and the European Regional Development Fund.
David worked as the Policy and Strategy Lead for the digital/creative sector at Advantage West Midlands (Regional Development Agency) between 2007-2010. He had a £20m budget during that time, leveraging private sector investment, digital innovation and business growth.
Previously, David worked in broadcast TV before running a variety of media and digital businesses.
In his spare time David enjoys walking, watching films and helping his youngest son with his video projects … building props with a hot glue gun and plenty of spray paint!
